FAQ

What are Real-Life Games?

Real-Life Games (RLGs) combine the best parts of Theatre and Escape Rooms, where players are thrown into stories and have to use critical thinking to reach the goal.

So it’s like LARPing?

No, LARPing can involve tens or even hundreds of players and often allows for personal goals based on each player’s self-made character. In Real-Life Games, you often play an alternate version of yourself. For example, in the True Crime RLG, you play a detective, or in the Ghost Hunt RLG, you play a ghost hunter. The goals will become clear when playing the game and can be reached in the estimated run time.

How is that different from a normal escape room?

In normal escape rooms, in the classical sense, one team is thrown into a room with a lock on the door. The objective is to solve all of the puzzles to unlock the door within the given amount of time.

In RLGs, the story is the first priority. You are not thrown into a room but into an environment. There might not be a lock on the door, but another problem to solve. There might be more teams with different goals. There might be no goal at all, other than to make it to the other side. The best part is the RLG doesn’t even need to be setup in a room, it can be in any location you want!

Any location I want? Really?

Yes, really. Although we prefer to host the RLG in inspiring environments, rich with potential for stories, we do our best to allow for any possible environment.  However, some locations are not suitable for certain games. In the worst-case scenario, we create a completely new game for your location!
